I'll see about that, but here's a prelim, with the newer version  
which works better than the old. As I noted back in Oct 2010, Fn  
AddItem is the culprit...specifically , it seems due to a chain of  
horrors coming from GetFileIconRef?

Maybe this will provide a clue?
