As I explained (or tried to) at the bottom of my last message, I am
(forced to) use an NT machine at work for my email, using
ccMail(OpenView). I still have my Mac at work, as well as my home
machine, but have so far been unsuccesful in finding a Mac email client
which will work with our HP OpenMail system here at work. From what I
can determine, I do not have anyway of controlling the trailing
characters, other than to use Netscape for all my replies to List
messages (that is what I am using right now), which is a major pain, but
if it is really that bothersome to all, then I will try to do so from
now on.

My apologies

Chris
