Sounds like one the problems I have too. Never could fix it. I even copied
the code from another working program with AE and it still bombs.

I lump this into the same category as the toolbox GETFILEINFO and
GETCATINFO. One works on some Macs and OS versions while the other works
the rest of the time. Just wish I could find one that works all the time
for reading files from folders or at least figure out what works with which
Mac and OS version.
