I was talking to a someone(a c person) the other day about how he did his pop up menu for his application; I figured it was something new appearance manager supported but I from what he tells me it's "just a standard control". He went on to mention how this has been an easy thing to implement since system 7.0, that there were no pop up menus in 6.0.x and you had to use cdefs in that case. Now I really don't mind that the Popup menu code for regular fb projects off the staz site is kind of re-inventing the wheel, and in fact, it works and looks great (mostly) under a system 7.0 environment. However, under appearance manager/8.0 it looks like it just doesn't fit with the standard way of doing things; it looks like I hand coded a custom routine(which doesn't look that great next to appearance manager in my opinion)... But I'm not looking to be system 6.0 compatible for this particular project; so, can anybody tell me where I can find the routines for making MacOS standard pop up menus? ~ I heart AppleĀ ~ -- TJ Grant (tatewake@...)
