Heavy as a monitor is, it is still lighter than an equivalent volume of water. Maybe I could take an old dead monitor and go down to the pool. I wonder what "they" would say when I show up for a faculty-staff swim with a 15" monitor. Actually this may not be such a good idea, I would probably get charged with pool pollution or something. I have never done a flood but I have done a couple of roof leaks (and coke and cocao spills). Open them up, clean out all the big chunks, rinse very well with distilled (not deionized) water and dry thoroughly. Worked with floppies, keyboards and a couple of Apple IIe's. Floppies are the worst because have to completely remove the case. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bryan Bremner Washington State University (509) 335-9074 Facilities Administration Systems & Programming Professional bremner@... http://www.physplt.wsu.edu/ppweb.html
