Hi gang:

I'm looking for a progress thingie (for a lack of better words). Not a
progress bar, but something that shows the user that things are happening.
I know... I know, I can use a watch cursor, but I need something larger.

The problem I'm considering is how to let the user know that communication
between his/her Mac and a peripheral is in progress (so that the user
doesn't interfere).

Ideally it would be nice if it had some animation (i.e., blinking lights,
moving arrows, barber pole, dancing cats, etc.) that would give the user a
feeling that communication is in progress. Like I said, a progress thingie.

Anyone got any code they can share?
