Egads Jay, Bird and Rick, what am I getting myself into? For one thing,
when I create a TEXT window in PG and paste in the required text, PG goes
totally beserk, big memory or no. So I decide to try just a small chunk of
text which would at least allow for some important edits, but find that
there's no way of saving same without some trick or other that I can't seem
to find in the manuals. I have pretty much given up on other means since
READ, INPUT and LINE INPUT all break down at some point when I try to write
an appended file and records don't appear to be the right format at all for
what I'm trying to do.

In case you're curious, I've created a music site with some pretty
complicated html that calls for names, titles, durations and program notes,
amongst other things. It looks and works fine, and is a joy for anyone
hoping to have his/her music presented in classy way. The rub is that it
requires some rather tedious and picky editing that I've simplified to the
max, but still have doubts about. I thought to automate the whole thing
within an app to minimize errors and to make it easier for the uninitiated.
The only thing I've succeeded in doing is to create a folder with the
composer's name on it and a Works folder inside with dozens of html files
pointing to the URL of the artist's music. A good thing, sure, but not
good enough. Oye!

Should I seek the light, or enjoy the dark?

Happy Thanksgiving all. Aren't you glad you're not in Honduras?
