In theory you can put 32767 strings into one STR# resource. I have seen in
several places that if you put more than about 600 items in one STR# that you
will start to notice some slowdown. In one of my programs using PG I have
used a STR# resource to generate a scrolling list with about 1000 items
without any problems.
