I want to get at the user's currently selected desktop pattern and use it as a
color/pattern within an application, the way ResEdit does in its dialog-box
editors. (Those of y'all who have seen the Xanadu computer can guess where I
want to put it.) ResEdit does it on both my 7.1 SE and the 7.5.5 PowerBase,
representing the two sides of the Great Desktop Pattern Divide, so I imagine
it can't be that complex, but I haven't a clue, even about what volume of IM
to try. Anyone?
