i wish i would have done this
_before_
i wasted so many countless hours trying to accomplish that.

i still can't do it, because i gave up trying.
there was always something about it that didn't work right.

i tried, without success, 
to modify greg neagle's p.g. example for f.b.

finally, i vowed never to waste another minute trying myself.

if i see an f.b. example that works immediately, i'll use it.
but until then, i've given up.

funny thing is, i've written the re-sizing routine
-- where i usually failed was in re-drawing the grow icon --
so it would have been _easy_ for me to implement _this_.
