It's been fun but a challenge to try and keep it on issue. I think I am in
agreement with you on the Dean.
Have a blessed day,
David

Subject: Re: [PastorsForum] Even quotes from ______________
Reading the responses on this subject have been more fun than watching
reruns of the "Andy Griffiths Show" which I thoroughly enjoy doing.
DW, The tapdancing around the issue and unwillingness to declare an opinion
is obvious and has been hilarious to watch.
I think there is definitely a grain of truth in the statements by Shu Ching,
and Dimitri Tiokem.
My experience with CCM is that much depends on the advocate or opposers
definition and personal preference. Of course the theology it promotes
definitely must be considered. What about the sound and the beat........
well, my personal preferences would be something in the range of the old
Stamps Baxter style, yet I would be the first to agree some of it contained
terrible theology. I personally have no preference for the 7/11 type
choruses some are so caught up in today. You know, the ones with 7 words
that are sung 11 times.
Now when it comes to the sound of CCM, generational preferences do enter in.
But when beats that promote body movement conducive to thoughts of a flesh
nature even for an old fellow like me ........its wrong no matter who of us
says its OK....!!
