David,
  Don't Open it is the best advice I can give.  if you have a virus 
program you can try to do a scan.  Though I have never heard of an email 
refusing to be deleted.  If you have a couple of 'free hours' you may 
want to try and contact your tech support for your server or software to 
help.  I hope someone has an answer for you.
