Just received this serious material from a former professor, thought it 
might brighten your day.

And they say Baptists are "tight" on communion -  What about this?  in New 
Jersey, an 8-year old girl suffering from a rare digestive disorder, who 
cannot eat wheat, took her first communion, but the parish declared it 
invalid because she used a rice  wafer!  Poor youngster - what does this do 
to her eternal soul?  (Or does that depend on your theology?)


Several "tidbits" on the evolution issue: Now dinosaur soft tissue has been 
examined, and it doesn't fit the template!  When a thigh bone was broken 
open, it contained - ready for this? - BLOOD VESSELS, WITH RED BLOOD CELLS - 
fully preserved, flexible, transparent - not at all what the "old earth" 
advocates expected.   If "dino" has been extinct for some hundred million 
years (give or take a million - like the federal debt, who cares?) - we 
should not expect such flexible blood vessels and cells.  And the "extinct" 
ivory-billed woodpecker (last seen in 1944) has been re-discovered - of all 
places, IN ARKANSAS!  (Please, no comments about any recent president.)


A British conference (Bristol University) on "Compassion in World Farming" 
has concluded, by research (no doubt tax-funded) that "cows experience pain, 
fear, and happiness; can form friendships in a herd; are good 
problem-solvers," and - get this - "can hold grudges"!!!!  Anyone who grew 
up milking cows or watching them milked could have saved some tax dollars on 
this one!  Maybe we ought to let the cows solve some of this sort of 
problem!
