Good point.  You are basing this, at least partially, on Prov 22:6.  Yes?

Yes, we do.  We pour out our alcoholic "drink offerings" on them.  :-)

Actually, I spent 13 years in the Assemblies of God before becoming
SBC.  The AoG had the custom of referring to the railing at the front
of the church as the "altar."  I guess the "proper" SBC term is
"invitation" and not "altar call."  But to where do we SBC-folk
"invite" the people to come, I wonder?
