Actually, I do not think that it is , at least not in those terms.....

But if a church member is abusing his or her spouse or child, I would 
consider that a major crisis situation that would demand immediate 
attention, including the law being brought into the picture.

Many states require churches to report any indication of abuse to the 
authorities.

Also, the issue of domestic abuse is one of those hidden sins WITHIN the 
church.  The Roman Catholics have received almost all of the media attention 
with child sexual abuse, yet it goes on in every  denomination, and also in 
independent groups as well.

Sometimes preachers, deacons, and other church leaders cloak themselves in 
religious piety in the church while they are involved in all sorts of 
demonic perversions at home.
