While not defending the President's language, I think this incident is
more of an indictment on the state of the media.
My history teacher once told me that newspaper photographers refused
to take pictures of FDR in his wheelchair. The American media used to
have more respect for the office of the President than to rush to show
our leader's shortcomings.
Yes, what the President said was inappropriate and not proper talk for
a man of God. But it is also a glory to overlook an offense (Prov
19:11).
