David W,
I preach at the Wasco Church of Christ "Christian." However, I would label
myself as "Christian."

You and I have had more than one disagreement, and at times I have been more
than unfriendly towards you. But, I am sure enjoying you and I agreeing on
some of the issues that have being the topic for the last 2-3 weeks.

David, no private words of knowledge, but I truly believe that our God is in
the process of "shaking" the Christian Church[es] and His pastors, in
America, as one does a tree to get the fruit down. You find yourself puzzled
about being in agreement with a CofC[er], CofG, and a old fashioned
Pentecostal, and in disagreement with those you would be expecting to be in
agreement with.

I believe you are going to find that to be more and more true in the coming
years, and not to distant at that. I think God is starting to separate His
pastors, not by labels, but by what they stand on and do not stand on. I
believe we are in the midst of
1 Timothy 4:1: "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and
doctrines of devils...." I also think that 2 Timothy 4:3-4 is quiet
applicable today: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound
doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers,
having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and
shall be turned unto fables."

Please don't take this wrong: You said:::: I'm beginning to wonder if my
label is right!!!!!!!!!!!1

I think you will find in the soon future, though you are labeled a Baptist
[IFB???? if wrong, forgive] that label will be to broad. It will mean
nothing anymore. I am labeled CofC, but that label is to broad today. There
is a United Methodist Pastor in town, and he is anything but a UM. He is
about as Bible as you can get. He just preaches at a church called UMC.

I think God is starting to weed us out. Not by the labels, but by our
stances on the Bible.

Don't hear me to be ecumenical--believe me, I AM NOT. However, I can stand
in the town square and pray with you, but I will not stand
with..............

Just some of my thoughts.

Just a Christian: jerry k
