Seems like you left our link 2 and thus your gap theory develops.
Also, I doubt the Baptists and their long history would be mentioned in
Presby church history class. :-)

By huge gaps I mean from the Philadelphia Association to 987 AD!!!! I
don't know when the Philadelphia association started but I am sure it
wasn't a measly 70 to 80 years after 987!! Sorry I should have
qualified my statement - no I don't have all the reference works
memorized but you would think that there would be some that at least
that sound vaguely familiar from Church History Classes. I will look up
Jones' church history and see what I come up with and let you know.
