Dear John O: (by the way, my name is DELMER, not Delmar)

The three points I mentioned are the core of salvation. We Baptists, and
all others who preach the whole content of the Bible are right on. We do
not only preach baptism.

We baptize only those who confess that they have received the Lord Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior. Hence, they are questioned as to their
faith. If the pastor and deacons (we do this in our local church) are
satisfied with their sincerity and conviction as to being saved, then we
baptize them.

We baptize by immersion because that is what the word means "to immerse,
to bury, to repeatedly dip". Those who dyed material probably coined
this expression, at least this has been attributed to them.

Because of Calvary, yours,
Delmer G. Lawson
Jesus loves you, and I do too
