All of us have a part, I doubt any of us have the whole. :) Blessings, Randy > Doc, > > Absolutely not!!! > > His claim seems to be (based on previous postings) that since there are > several distinctive doctrinal beliefs held by Baptists today that were > evident in the church in the Book of Acts, that that made them "Baptist" > even though they did not use the name "Baptist." > > The problem is, those beliefs are also held by many other religious groups > and are not exclusive to Baptists. > > My position has been that they church in the Book of Acts looks more > Pentecostal/Charismatic than anything else. > > Jerry > "Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who > was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders > to be done by their hands" (Acts 14:3). > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Dpowellaz2@... > To: pastorsforum@... > Sent: Tuesday, May 20, 2008 8:20 PM > Subject: Re: [PastorsForum] Baptist Stigma > > > Jerry, do you agree with David W that all the New Testament churches > were Baptist churches? > > Dave P > > In a message dated 5/20/2008 2:30:28 P.M.
