But, we have to admit, in and of themselves non of these things are
wrong.
There must be honest & firm management of them so that they help us
minister not minister to us.
That is what the Pharisees did with the Law, they promoted the word of
it as opposed to the spirit of it.
Example:  The Sabbath was made for man not man for the Sabbath.

Spurgeon appropriately said, "as the body grows rich, the soul grows
poor." Prosperity and materialism has sapped the vitality out of the
American church. We have vaulted ceilings, plush furnishings, numerous
programs, and frenetic activity, but few Smyrna-churches or
Philadelphia-churches.
