Wait a minutes fellows, I agree with that verse and it is a good definition of human sin, yet the Law was not given before Satan fell.

Great verse. A clear definition of sin as well as indicating the
origin of sin. Satan transgressed God's Law and then tempted Adam and
Eve to do the same.
