Jerry,
I just came back from a FAITH conference in Daytona, Fla. FAITH very
easy but it is not simple. It is much more detailed than EE, or the
Romans Road, or other outreach systems (if we can call it that). At
the conference we were drinking from a fire hydrant for four days and it
wasn't until the second day that I picked up on what was really going
on. But, once you understand it you can really appreciate it and expect
it to work. FAITH doesn't just tell someone how to get saved it
ministers to them, gets them involved in the church, gets the church
involved in them and so on.
FAITH stands for;
F - Forgiveness
A - Available
      but not Automatic
I - Impossible
T - Turn
H - Heaven

If you want I can send you the "FAITH Visit Outline, or if it is OK I
can post it on the site. But, in order to use FAITH and it's materials
the senior pastor has to go to a FAITH seminar and be trained. The
materials can't even be bought except through the FAITH channels.
This system is from the SBC (alright IFB guys, don't get defensive - I
was at FBC Daytona and everyone I saw, talked to, and was taught by was
very conservative and passionate - for the Lord and souls), in
cooperation with Lifeway stores. The pastor's class was $350.00 but
that includes meals, materials, snacks, etc... It truly is a deal, good
fellowship, great instruction and strong encouragement. You have to go
to appreciate it and you will come back with a renewed zeal for souls.
It is clearly the best approach I have ever experienced and there are
many reasons for that.
If I were to start telling you about it right now you wouldn't have time
to read it all in one sitting. Not only that but you would find
problems with it! The reason I say that is because that is what I did.
A friend of mine told me and I said "no, that will never work" I
thought my church was too traditional, it would be too involved and the
people wouldn't participate.
The approach depends on prayer (first and foremost and the FAITH people
will tell you that up front), people, commitment, and passion.
Hope this isn't too much but if you are sincerely committed to reaching
out to the community, prior visitors, lost members and even present
members (FAITH is very inclusive) then I strongly urge you to consider
FAITH!

Brothers what do you do with evangelism? Do you have classes? Do you
have home visits? Do you send out volunteers and if so what training do
you provide? How does your evangelism ministry work?
