This was the same thing I was thinking when working on the 2 John  
chapter in my book. Actually the snip I pasted is right from the  
chapter I wrote this week. Lately, I have heard a view that Christ  
would come spiritually. I heard it from a full pret. The view was  
just hnaging there in my mind, but I did not like something about it.  
Then I found the two Johannine refrences, which seem to me as  
warnings against emergent proto gnosticism. The Luke 24:39 is  
apropos--way cool.
