I was trying to illustrate what I considered the absurdity of the absoluteness of his statement with an absurdity. I would say that in some sense he is correct in that it is wrong to teach what is unBiblical and that is indeed false teaching, but as the well-worn saying goes, whenever you point a finger at someone, three are pointing back at you. All doctrines are of man, and therefore are inherently fallible. I would suspect that R.C. Sproul would find any teaching outside of the WCF to be of doctrinal error. But those on this list would find many things to take issue with in his doctrinal stance and if we were to take the same position as he does, we could not consider him worthy of listening to or reading. But I suppose this further explains his comments about JGR a few years ago. R.C. needs to read Al Mohler's essay of a few years ago on theological triage. -- Ed
