For what its worth brother:

1) "When not to Build: An Architect's unconventional Wisdom for the growing Church" Ray Bowman and Eddy Hall, Baker Books (ISBN # 0-8010-9106-3), has been a very useful tool of counsel for our church family. A very lucid account of the conventional reasons to build and a number of biblical cautions to be aware of. Our elders have read it over the past year or so as we are experiencing the "blessed problem" of a steadily growing church.

What are perspectives on borrowing money to build a new church?

Also, can anyone give input on the best way to raise funds to pay for a new
building? Some churches have used Rick Warren's self-guided packet. Other
churches have hired people like Injoy(John Maxwell) to do a Capital Gifts
  Campaign.

Some churches have done it themselves. What are your thoughts?

  Thanks,
  Johnny
