Jesus teaching in Matthew 19 details one man and one woman.Paul in Romans 6 makes it clear that the marriage bond of one man and one woman lasts as long as both spouses are alive and in so doing condemns all remarriage while one spouse is alive (legal divorce notwithstanding).Julian

Along this line of thinking - I was wondering what the positions of folks were with regard to re-marriage - even in light of the two biblical options for allowable divorce (adultery and abandonment by the unbeliever) - can re-marriage happen in light of the vows ("forsaking all other till death do us part") - I wonder if this has some bearing upon any re-marriage while the divorced spouse is still alive? Though provoking article at http://www.desiringgod.org/library/topics/divorce_remarriage/div_rem_paper.html
