Bill:

Glad to have the opportunity/possibility to worship along with another young couple...not sure who they are = perhaps you could give them my email address personally etc. and I'd be glad to be sure we welcome them.

I'm a little slow - and so I didn't follow your post re: "Interesting. I just finished sending a msg to John R. re this man's recent
change of doctrine. I think it is interesting that he comments on the
frequent state of Divorce in the Church today in leading up to his new
position. I feel he is minimizing some scripture & maximizing others to try
to go beyond what scripture teaches to try to correct the problem in the
church. The arm of the flesh will fail always."

Who are you refewrring to and what was the change of doctrine that you were mentioning?

Thanks in advance:

Interesting. I just finished sending a msg to John R. re this man's recent

Btw... I just referred a young couple to FWBC on the recommendation of Barb
  & Frank McLaren in Kingston!

Jeremiah 9:23 This is what the LORD says: "Let not the wise man boast of his
wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his
  riches,
24 but let him who boasts boast about this:that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on
earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD.

Jesus teaching in Matthew 19 details one man and one woman.Paul in
Romans 6 makes it clear that the marriage bond of one man and one woman
lasts as long as both spouses are alive and in so doing condemns all
remarriage while one spouse is alive (legal divorce notwithstanding).Julian

Along this line of thinking - I was wondering what the positions of
folks were with regard to re-marriage - even in light of the two biblical
options for allowable divorce (adultery and abandonment by the unbeliever) -
can re-marriage happen in light of the vows ("forsaking all other till death
do us part") - I wonder if this has some bearing upon any re-marriage while
the divorced spouse is still alive? Though provoking article at
