Did Hosea stay with his wife out of love or a sense of duty? I am not sure
that you can separate the two. My point is that you do not always do things
because you want to. You do things because they are the right thing to do.
You can play with words here and what the words might mean but I say that
sometimes you obey God because He says to obey Him and you make that choice.
