Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate your synopsis of things. It is
impossible to even begin to keep up with all that is being published today.
I wish I was a speed reader but I am not. I understand JF Kennedy could read
the entire New Your Times in twenty minuets.

 I have a very good friend who teaches theology at Louisville seminary with
Schreiner. He has the highest regard for Schreiner. He seems to have the
same assessment of him as you. He said he thinks Schreiner has backed off a
bit on some of his statements. Scott Hafeman was the first person recommend
Schreiner. I asked Scott what one book I should read to basically understand
his position and he suggested I start with Tom Schriener book on "The Race .
.. ."

Many years ago I stayed over night with Norm Shepherd while attending a
conference at Westminster. He was a very delightful person. At that time I
was unware of the NP issue. When I first heard of the controversy I was told
that Shepherd's concern was identical our concern over what was labeled
"Lordship Salvation" versus "Saviour But Not Lord" evangelism.
