Deut 4 - either you can't make sculptures or draw pictures of anything in
creation, OR the rest of the passage clarifies that it's worship of them
which you can't do...

"do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD
your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven."


Deut 27:15 - If the use of the term IDOL doesn't imply worshipping that
which you create, then the only literal understanding of this text is that
all artists, even the youngest children, are doomed for making anything that
resembles creation, UNLESS they do so for all to see.  Maybe that's why Mel
is publishing his for the world to come see.  He wants to avoid doing it in
secret as the passage warns about?

Dave, please observe what these verses say before quoting them, for all our
sakes?
