Hi Everybody,

1) My sympathy, JGR, at the passing of your precious
brother.  I saw him preach in the late 70's at Lake
Drive Baptist Church (I think it was), in Grand Rapids.
As a newly convinced 5-pointer, it was a breath of
fresh air to hear someone honor God in His Sovereignty,
without the stale Christian Reformed slant that pretty
much thought of everyone as saved who had been baptized
as a baby in the CRC, and had all but stopped preaching
the Gospel (sort of an almost Liberal Hyper-Calvinism, 
which I realize makes a strange sounding animal).
     Anyway, we are praying for you and yours.  Your
spunk on the chat group here has apparently not been
diminished.

2) I am subscribed to the Reformed Theology list, but only
read the online version occasionally, since you have to be
a man of leisure to read and participate in the many ongoing
posts---no offense, Chad ;).  They're a meaner bunch than
SOG'ers, almost as vitriolic as...as...Calvin or Luther! :)

3) Never, never, never let non-fundamental doctrinal debates
dull the edge of love for Jesus AND His kin.  That's not
Rodney King theology ["Can't we all just get along?"], 
that's the fruit of the Spirit of Life in Jesus Christ that
has set us free from the Law of sin and death.
