I have not seen any evidence of that, nor is Methodism, which is where his 
allegiance apparently lies, known for their devotion to the pretrib, premill 
brand of dispensationalism.  In spite of my impressions there may be some 
influence from that wing.  However I would think that "allegiance" (what ever 
that means!) to or siding with Israel may arise merely from the consideration 
that this tiny nation has been struggling to survive against massive 
Arab/Muslim opposition to her very existence for 55 years now.

I often wonder how Americans would respond to the type of attacks Israel has 
had to endure for over half a century, while always being made to look like 
the "bad guy" on the international scene.  Perhaps, just perhaps, we may be 
beginning to in the light of recent events!
