Steve,
I'll convey the thought that will run through Jack's mind when he
reads your response.
    OUCH!!!
    Love it!

My response:

Not! That was not my response! In fact, although I debated providing
Scriptural proof, I decided against it, because that did not seem what Jeff was
seeking. Check out his original questions:

<< << When do you perform a believer's baptism? Do you do it immediately
someone says they want it, no matter what age they might be?
Does age matter?
Are baptismal classes Scriptural? >>

It was my "take" that he was seeking opinions/practices from those on the
List who might have grappled with these issues before. I anticipated that there
might be some "instant baptizers" or "converted church membership" folks on
the list, and decided that if someone coming from that perspective reacted to my
e-mail, that would be the time to engage in the debate over the Scriptural
bases or lack thereof. I was not disappointed! I have been quite busy lately,
so have not responded yet to Steve, but am preparing one. More to follow!
Been there, done that!

Soli Deo Gloria,

Jack
