hey Harold and Chad, excuse me butting into your ding-dong but you've touched on the subject of the law written on man's heart in Rom.2:15. It seems to me that has some relevance to the way we preach the gospel - just how are gentiles held accountable to God, by which standard will they be judged? I wonder if Rom. 5:12 - 14 has some relevance here. Paul seems to be reasoning that there was no law from Adam to Moses so, though sin was in the world, it was not taken into account. Death reigned because of Adam's sin. This raises lots of questions like: what was the definition of sin in the Adam - to - Moses era ? how different was that era from the situation of an uninformed gentile today? what law was in the heart of those from Adam to Moses if Paul says there was no law? Likewise what law is written on the hearts of people today? Do we need a new thread subject? David.
