Exegesis is exposition; explanation; especially, a critical explanation of a text or portion of Scripture based upon the text specifically and the entire Scriptures as a whole.
Biblical theology is an attempt to articulate the theology that the Bible contains as its writers addressed their particular settings.
I see similarities but they are not synonyms
As for Joseph you are saying he is a type of Christ? See AW Pinks 100 reasons why.
