So exegesis is a two heart creature?
Having both the text and Biblical theology as its hearts?
Granted both the text and Biblical theology should be in harmony
but I think the text has priority.

Precisely. But it is impossible to rightly understand the text without
biblical theology. The text itself is eschatological and we must come to
the text on its terms.
