However, that has nothing at all to do with your position that there is works but no grace in Genesis 2:17. THERE IS NEITHER GRACE OR EARNING BY WORKS IN THE GARDEN - SHOW ME OTHERWISE IN THE TEXT. There is a clear commandment from a sovereign Creator to a sinless man not eat of a specific tree upon pain of death. That is all the text says. Your theology has to somehow get "works and earning" into Genesis 2:17 but it simply does not fit. The more you write the more convinced I am that you are "theologizing" and not exegeting.
