Dear Mike:  It is debatable as to whether Adam was among the elect.
Certianly Adam's remaining in the garden was based on his not eatng the
fruit but that cannot be turned into "earning the right to live." I agree
with you about the Sinai covenant and similiar aspects of man's behaviour.
