I agree with the sentiment here. That's another "cliche" to be avoided. But I don't think we have to say this when we say we are "under Christ", the New Torah. We are free to be slaves to Christ as we obey his commandments in fear and trembling. If we love him, we will obey his commandments, and commandments they are (yeah, beating the dead horse here. :-)). I live and work in an evangelicalism where "not under law, but under grace" is part and parcel to non-Lordship Finneyism. So... apologies if my emphasis on Christ as Law smacks as a new and improved violation of Romans 7 and/or Galatianism. To those evangelicals Lordship salvation is legalism.
