One the major difficulties in discussing NCT is the idea of continuity and
discontinuity. It seems to me this should be settled once for all as
follows.
(1) Carefully define your terms.
(2) If you are talking about two COVENANTS, and old and new, then there is
100% discontinuity. The Old Covenant, and everything it brought into being
has been fulfilled and replaced. There is a radical new and total different
in force.
(3) If you are talking about God's one unchanging purpose in sovereign
grace, then you have 100% continuity. The "new things" were predicted and
have now come to pass.
(4) CT big mistake is confusing what it calls "the Covenant of Grace" with
God's unchanging sovereign purpose.
