John, I have been told that it was the practice of the German Baptist Churches in south east Queensland about 100 years ago for the women to sit on one side of the church and the men on the other. Apparently this was and is the practice of many Jewish synagogues. Was this a Baptist Church? Maybe the women thought that if they missed some of your words of wisdom their husbands would fill them in when they got home. Well that is Scriptural! Maybe they couldn't resist a bargain either! Aren't women lovely?!!
