" It says what we are to do and how we are to treat a man who says he is a
brother caught in sin."
William, a man never 'says he is a brother caught in sin'.
It's the fact that he repeatedly insists he's not in sin that makes him a
non-brother.
David repented when he was confronted.
He never denied truth when he was faced with it.
Believers sin, but when confronted, they repent.
Pagans sin, but when confronted, they deny deny deny, even to the whole
community.
