since some of the 'guys' have lightened the postings with sports :)
I thought it might be permissible for Grandma to rejoice over a child's
prayer!
My 3 year old grandson, Chandler, stays with us while Mommy attends nursing
school, and works. He spends 2 nights each week, sometimes 3 nights.
Tonight, when I was getting him to bed, he asked "Is Jesus in our hearts?"
Sleep was delayed a bit while we talked about Jesus. He asked if he could
open his door and have Jesus come in. We prayed for Jesus to be in his
heart.
Sure, I know he's only 3, and does not understand the first thing about
theology! But, he has heard enough just being in our home- and Mommy talks to
him, too - that his heart is tender. He insists when we pray before meals
EACH time we must pray for Mommy. Today, he started naming his cousins, too.
He asks lots of questions, so this is not the first conversation we have had
about the things of Christ. Sometimes he seems to understand beyond his
years. I pray this means God's choice is on this child.
Just a happy Grandma!
