But you convince them that they are not preaching the Word of God. They will look at you askance and deeply wounded that you could even think such a thing as that they are lacking confidence in the word. One of the real dangers that I have observed in contemporary church practice is the tendency to promote good performers in 'worship' to leadership roles in the church. Because they are upfront and well known when it comes to a congregational vote people know them and will elect them. Other brothers who are probably very good at making sure the administrative I's are dotted and t's crossed do not get considered. I don't think that I can understate this danger because I have observed it happening. God bless, Jeff
