The premise is that Christ the Righteous needed to acquire and merit grace which He as part of the Godhead already abundantly enjoyed, so He earned it by His active obedience to the OT Law which was given over 400 years after the Abrahamic covenant so that He could receive us as righteous in contrast to Adam's covenant of works. Just as infants are baptized today so that they may be included in the promise of the covenant. Harry "Chad R.
