Although I do believe that the woman caught in audultery is in fact guilty of her crime since she was caught in the very act, I agree that the witnesses came with "unclean hands" and therefore they defiled the proceedings with their desire to test Jesus. Had they not the outcome would have been different. I am still not convinced that the doctrine of active obedience has a Biblical foundation but I have learned from this discussion and I would like to thank Chad and everyone who has interjected comments and questions.
