This has been a week of many tears for many of us as we see images of our people in AL, MS and LA going through what none of us would want for ourselves, families or friends. Yesterday, I asked our people in SS class "to remember the poor" (Gal 2:9,10) and to give "gifts to the poor" (Ac 10:1-4). I brought it to our attention that not once was there an adjective associated with the word "poor". As we submit to God's will for us in giving to the poor, may it be a reminder of how our gracious Lord gave His own Son to us "poor" sinners in our time of spiritual need. What great joy it would be for our God to think of our giving as "memorial offering(s)". Barry Meyer ************************************ Brethren, I'm in full agreement with brother Mark. Those churches who restrict their giving to within their theological camps better smartin' up. God's heavenly camp has no such divisions. Much Grace! Moe
