John, > I just had a phone call from my friend Joe Dunnaway. There was a > letter to the editor claiming that Katrina was the judgment of God > because the United Nations and the United States had forced Israel to > withdraw from the Gaza strip. What did the people of New Orleans have > to do with the actions of the United Nations? JGR JD: Your friend got it wrong. The real reason for Katrina is that President Bush has refused to sign the Kyoto treaty thus increasing global warming. You should also be aware that Katrina hit just two days before New Orleans' scheduled Decadence Day parade which celebrates sodomy and homosexuality and transgenderism and transexualism and so on. The parade was held anyway. They just walked through the water and thumbed their noses at God. If you would like to look at pictures of the destruction, go to WWLTV.com. I think God had a fourfold reason for Katrina. In regard to some people, He was taking them home. In regard to others, He was sending them to their just punishment. In regard to some, He was providing a circumstance that will lead them to His word and to regeneration and salvation. In regard to the last group, He was hardening their souls in rebellion against Him. Jim
