JD:  Your friend got it wrong.  The real reason for Katrina is that
President Bush has refused to sign the Kyoto treaty thus increasing
global warming.  

(Fred) Are you serious? I hope you are joking.  Kyoto?  Christians are
not to be involved with witchcraft.  

        You should also be aware that Katrina hit just two days before
New Orleans' scheduled Decadence Day parade which celebrates sodomy and
homosexuality and transgenderism and transexualism and so on.  The
parade was held anyway.  They just walked through the water and thumbed
their noses at God.

(Fred) The French Quarter, where the Decadence Day parade was to take
place, was spared any significant damage due to flooding.  I would
imagine it will be the brothels and taverns who will be back into
business before anyone else.  

 Like a handful of others have said, it is unwise and I would even go so
far as to say bordering on blasphemy, to presume what God's purposes are
with Katrina.  He certainly was in it, that I do not doubt a moment.
But unless there was some previously revealed reason for the hurricane,
all else is man-made speculation.
